This type of assessment aids in the identification of sources of academic difficulty experienced by an individual who is not suspected of having acquired brain injury. The results of a Psycho-Educational Assessment can identify the following: a specific learning disability; an individual’s optimal way to learn; and useful remedial learning techniques. This type of evaluation uses many of the same tests employed in a Neuropsychological Assessment, and should be conducted by a psychometrist under the supervision of a registered clinical neuropsychologist.
